got asked whether i believe in God on my way home from work this afternoon

i stopped, and replied that i believe in the Power of the Universe – that there are many powerful forces at work, and perhaps not just one omnipotent being

my answer may not have satisfied my questioner, and that’s ok – it was the answer that was right for me

i hear the owl again tonight
